Jon Kallen is an entrepreneur, attorney, and engineer with extensive experience in the renewable energy, regulated energy, agricultural technology, water/wastewater infrastructure, and environmental services sectors. He has more than 25 years of experience working for large diversified energy companies, engineering consulting firms, and early-stage private equity renewable energy/infrastructure project developers.
Jon possesses degrees in engineering and law, is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, and is a member of the Business Record’s 40 under 40 Emerging Business Leaders of Central Iowa. In 2022, Jon was named Entrepreneur of the Year by The Greater Des Moines Partnership and in 2024 Jon received the Technology Association of Iowa, Impact Award.
Jon was appointed in 2020 to serve as the Entrepreneur in Residence at the Iowa State University Business Accelerator at the ISU Startup Factory.
In his spare time, Jon is a mountain climber, trail runner, whitewater kayaker, and adventurer. He has climbed mountains all around the world, with goals to climb the highest peaks on all seven continents (3 down) and kayak down the Amazon.
Frank has 20 years of C-Suite level leadership experience in B2B and B2C business models, spanning corporate, entrepreneurial, and marketing organizations. His experiences span business building and strategy development for world-class brands and companies, in both domestic and international settings. Most recently he co-founded and operationalized two start-ups.
With over 20 years of executive leadership in financial institutions, fintechs, and credit unions, Ben is a results-driven strategist known for driving transformative growth. He has raised millions in equity and debt, scaled operations to achieve 30x revenue growth, and built high-impact partnerships that fuel profitability and innovation. Holding an MBA from the University of Iowa, Ben excels at streamlining processes, optimizing resources, and empowering organizations to deliver measurable results and meaningful community impact.
Jake has over a decade of experience working within state government, and specializes in assisting clients with legislative & regulatory policy development and bill drafting, issue analysis, lobbying, communications, and campaigns. He has served as the lead agriculture and energy policy adviser to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds and worked directly with the leadership of several state & federal agencies and congressional offices. He is a graduate of Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and holds a master’s degree from Emory University.
Beth Wojton is an expert in executive level strategic planning and implementation, business operations and human resources. Beth can develop and execute comprehensive human resources plans that include hiring and interviewing, administering pay, benefits and leave, enforcing company policies and creation of HR materials.
Carrie Cox is the Administrative and Marketing Coordinator for the Jennings Kallen Advisors. She has more than 25 years of experience in office administration, advertising and marketing and social media management. Carrie is a graduate of California State Fullerton and University of California, Los Angeles and holds a degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts degree minoring in Design Communication Arts.
